Shanley is currently the Director of Food & Beverage for Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, MA where she has been recognized among the top private clubs in the country by Forbes Distinguished Clubs for Outstanding Wine & Cocktail program. Always a sucker for a great wine with a cool story, she seeks to bring her passion for wine to her members through her private Cellar Club, monthly wine dinners featuring some of the most sought-after producers in the industry, as well as educational seminars and private tastings.
Born with hospitality in her bones, Shanley has worked in restaurants since the age of 15 and now has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. With degrees from Johnson & Wales University in Culinary Arts and Endicott College in Hospitality Management, Shanley began her professional wine career studying under the late Master of Wine Sandy Block at Legal Seafoods before she could legally drink. She cut her Sommelier teeth at Del Frisco‘s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Boston’s Seaport, eventually going on to open their Back Bay location under Lauren Daddona, A.S. before running programs at Atlantic Fish and Paul Wahlberg’s Alma Nove in Hingham. In addition to her Certified Sommelier certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers, she is also a Certified Sake Specialist with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. She completed her Advanced Sommelier course in 2019 and is currently studying for her Advanced Sommelier exam.
Shanley resides in Scituate, Massachusetts and in her spare time is a passionate advocate for ocean conservation and animal rescue and enjoys skiing, sailing, and golf.
